Trading days, weekends & night sessions
A workday is not always a trading day. Read the exchange calendar and the civil evening separately.

Make-up workdays stay closed
20 September and 10 October 2026 are official make-up workdays. Both are weekend dates and SHFE is closed. Government work schedules annotate workdays; exchange calendars determine trading days.
Reopening day and its evening
On 8 October 2026, SHFE has no incoming session starting on 7 October. Night trading resumes at 21:00 on 8 October and belongs to the 9 October trading date. The Friday 9 October evening belongs to Monday 12 October; Saturday’s make-up workday does not create a trading day.
A Friday evening normally belongs to the next confirmed trading day. Holiday suspensions and temporary exchange notices take precedence. GFEX and CFFEX products have day sessions only.
